Highlights from the Mens SS 09 Runway Shows

I love mens fashion. There is a boundary that a designer is faced with in menswear that is not so present in womens wear. No matter how over the top or designed some garments are there will always be the women for it, but menswear is different. Its all about color and fit. Its that sexy, sporty, chic or grungy silhouette that defines the man before you can even get close enough to see his face. Here are my favorite looks from the SS09 Runway Shows. I love all the grey and the subtle use of colors, not too much pastel as we are seeing in a lot of collection this summer, which i also love, but you feel an escalation of class in this season compared to that of SS08. The boxy fits of Marni, the tailored chicness of Calvin Klien (1-3.), the loose and easy and undeniable sexy Parisian looks from Burberry Prorsum (21-24), and the street luxe sensation delivered by Richard Chai (15-17) are just a few of the highlights for SS09.
