Exclusive Robin Thicke

The winds were mellow and the sky casted a slight shade of melancholy. Though this sounds like a setting for an Alfred Hitchcock movie, Robin Thicke was still able to catch up with imeem to drop an exclusive performance for the Hive at Yerba Buena Park. Like a thief to bank robbery, the performance was one swift motion. A few lucky fans squeezed in the two second photo ops and hugs while others stood still to receive the acoustic performance.

Due props goes to Will, Daniel, Brige and Nate for the setup and follow-though in production of this fine footage while Thicke was in town for his tour. Below are exclusive stills of his performance of “Magic” and “Lost Without You” that will release before his third solo album entitled Something Else, on September 9th, 2008. Enjoy folks…the (extended) weekend is once again up us.

Kazuo’s Build-Out in HTC

kazuo 1 Kazuos Build Out in HTC

Thursday was the opening night for Kazuo’s new build-out at Hollywood Trading CO. in Fred Segal, Santa Monica. The fall 08 Collection looks great as usual, with hand finished details and flawless construction. The buld-out is very representational of teh kind of work that Joel K. and his team put into the brand. Look closely at the walls. The red walls are all hand stripped pieces of red tape. Revolve Clothing goes Brick & Mortar

revolve clothing 1 Revolve Clothing goes Brick & Mortar

Today is the official launch of Revolve, the first Brick & Mortar platform for RevolveClothing.com. As a result of  the steady growth of their online shop which they launched in 2003, just at the beginning of major  e-commerce fashion sites, they have decided to open their doors to Los Angeles shoppers in one of L.A.’s most exclusive shopping areas. The shop is located on Melrose near LA Cienega beside favorites such as Marc Jacobs, A.P.C., Marni, and Diane Von Furstenburg among others. However in the mix of all these great shops Revolve will maintain a destination shop. It shadows petite homestyle restuarant Taste and shy’s away from the sidewalk by just a few steps. Rock the Cassette

blog cassette01 Rock the Cassette

I was standing at the Magic trade show two years ago, taken back at the lack of creativity and development of certain clothing brands. To my left was all-over print t-shirt company with shirts resembling a box of crayons symbolically melted with no creative direction, while to my right were diamond bedazzled shirts summing simple t-shirt to feel like a wet rag draped over a body. Fall “IT” Bags

picture 14 Fall IT Bags

The Fall “must have” bags include elements of everything we love in trends. Namely fringe, military elements, ruffles, and the shiny black latex look. Givenchy’s East West Military Hobo brings studs to the forefront, Prada’s Napa A Hobo uses ruffles for a more feminine look, Jimmy Choo’s Fringe Hobo is a bit more on the trendy side but I still love it, and finally the Jil Sander diamond bag not available online yet but OMG is it beautiful.

In the meanwhile check out Barneys + Neiman Marcus for more.

Alpha Coffee Table

Yet another exclusive. This time Crate & Barrel offers typographers (and the public) the Alpha Coffee Table. With each letter resembling a single oversize letterpress unit, it flushes out a sturdy 36” steel frame and incorporates wood block font families, all while not discriminating against icon ornaments and San Serifs. Below is a brief of the table provided by Crate & Barrel. MORE inside the post
