Bantu Wax is a new brand with a socially conscious business of delivering fashion to the western world while creating opportunity in the designer, Yodit Eklund’s homeland of Africa. When Yodit was conceptualizing this new brand she was not set on what direction it would take but that whatever it was it would have to give back to Africa. With this mission of creating industry in Africa and allowing women to earn a living in an honest and safe way came Bantu. Bantu is the translation or integration of the original source of African fashion, the wax cloth, into wearable western fashion.
