With her family background (her mother is Jane Birkin, her father French film maker Jacques Doillon and she is a half-sister to Charlotte Gainsbourg) it isn’t really surprising that Lou Doillon, at 26, has become a style icon the world over. When denim label Lee Cooper were looking for someone to take their brand to the next level, Lou was a natural choice.
The actress, Playboy model and general wild child has come up with a capsule collection of denim classics, ranging from high wasted shorts to wide legged jeans. Inspired by Charlie Chaplin, Lou describes her designs as ’sharp basics’, something classic and edgy with enough space for individual expression.
