Andre Benjamin (aka Andre 3000 of OutKast) just launched his Menswear Collection Bejamin Bixby in Harrods London. He Said ” starting his new menswear label was the craziest and hardest thing he has ever done ” ” Fashion business. “It’s like medicine,” “You need to wrap it up in peanut butter to make it appealing.”

As for the Benjamin Bixby line itself, it is a highly-appealing collection which picks up on American preppy and collegiate styles with unique twists of classic tailoring. The Fall 08/Spring 09 collection which consists of 70 pieces, is a late 1930’s inspired line drawn from old college football documentaries. The collection consists of sweaters, striped dress shirts, corduroy blazers, and high-waisted trousers. Casual styles starting from polos and thermal knits with interesting embroidered logos to surely intrigue the costumers.

Unfortunately, there was not much on display at Harrods last night as the samples got stuck in customs.
