Lula Magazine

Lula 7

So, I purchased my first Lula Magazine.  This is the type of magazine that seems to be made for girls like me. Everything about it is romantic. The photos, styling, fashion, and even the typeset. It was started by Leith Clark, a fashion stylist.

This issue features photographers Ellen Von Unwerth, Yelena Yemchuk, and the fashions of Erin Fetherston.

There’s a lovely article “Difficult, Deadpan, and Wonderfully Different” by April Long with Illustrations by Jonas Löfgren. It describes the girl who I always related to: types like Wednesday Addams, Lydia Deetz, Enid Coleslaw from Ghost World, and Daria Morgendorffer (I’ve been told I resemble Daria at least 3 times).

Here’s some of Jonas Löfgren’s delightful illustrations:

I'm interested in the romantic and sentimental side of style, music, movies, photography, videos, art, books, culture, NYC, spirituality, and finding a better life. My #1 passion is photography but I have so many interests, I wish I had more time to tend to them all. Living in NY feeds my passion for all things, but it's great to get away.
