Um, you ever stop to think that perhaps solar panels would not generate enough power? Or that they would even weigh the car down more and/or leave it vulnerable in spots?

it’s really narrow minded that you’d judge this particular vehicle by any standards other then what it’s for: to transport obama back and forth short distances and keep him and his family alive. not to take your kids to soccer practice or drive your yuppy friends to work. people are so hungry to find hypocrisy or fault in dude’s actions and he’s not even the president yet. kinda pathetic.

i agree that maybe the car should be a hybrid but solar? it would be nice to see the president lead by example however think about the PR. people are in love w/ obama. Oh Obama has a hybrid cadillac one, we must have hybrids too.

the pcar was already under preparation even as at primaries
so it was for the next president, irrespective of who won
that is if it was McCain or Hillary, it wld have been the same car.
the only difference is the person sitting in it
so it wasn’t Obama that gave d specification
so all u guys talking about leading by example (solar, hybrid talks..is irrelevant)
