The hype is undeniable, Barbie’s going to be celebrating her 50th year in true fashionista style, by having her own fashion show at New York Fashion Week on Saturday: Mattel is sponsoring Fashion Week this year for the anniversary with a show that includes 50 Barbie outfits by top designers, including Diane Von Furstenberg and Tommy Hilfiger as well as many other outstanding designers’ pieces…. “She’s an American icon, and there has to be an interesting association between play and Barbie, and creativity and fashion,” said Valvo. The pink shoes featured are the exclusive Barbie hot pink Christian Louboutins.
