Hardee, the Carl’s Junior of the Midwest and Southeast regions of the United States employed Padma Lakshmi to use her tongue more for licking than for speech in this commercial ad. If she doesn’t give you a heart attack, this burger probably will. You really think Padma Lakshmi will pull into a drive through and order this? She definitely got paid royally for endorsing Hardee’s flavors…as paid as Common when he endorsed Microsoft’s Softwear.

The quality frame manufacture Super and Barneys Co-Op New York features part two in their collab. The frames are designed with intertwining metallic streaks combined with a Zeiss Gold 24k lens and of course is based on the Super Ciccio Style. The product is limited to 50 pieces and is available only at Barneys CO-OP in New York. I’m really feeling the aesthetic marriage between the original tortoise shell look and wood-grain. Peep part one of the co-op here.

D.R.I is a soulful yet light little sprite in the music world. Her songs play with various boundaries while maintaining a consistently unique sound that is all her own. The song ‘Inspiration’ below, off her album ‘Smoke Rings’, is one where, in my opinion, she was most successful in conjuring a retro and ethereal sound which turned out truly heavenly. Have a listen.

A pretty sick Ping Pong Dining Table designed by Hunn Wai – This PING-PONG Dining table harks back to the origins of table-tennis with its duality of both being a table fit for dining and playing on.What started off as impromptu after-dinner amusement mimicking tennis in an indoor environment for upper-class Victorians became an international phenomenon with rules and standards. This is an official-sized game table with a DuPont™ Corian® surface CNC machine-routed with French Rococo patterns interjected with Ping-pong iconography filled with gold lacquer, supported by stately hand-lathed timber legs. In the middle, a long rectangular vase filled with dainty blossoms does double-duty as a game-net and a table floral arrangement. More info Here

Design is Mine’s, Summer Allen-Gibson did some extensive research to support her flea market style interior inspiration. This really hit the spot for me because I am a flea market junkie and love all those antique gimmicks, but the challenge is always knowing when to stop and what fits with what. I love eclectic interiors and flea markets give you so much free range and inspiration. I also love to see flea market style mixed in with ultra contemporary, this combination makes for a warmer and more welcoming minimalism.

Monsieur Qui (Mr Qui) or in English Mister Who is French illustrator / street Artist. His fashion illustrations are beautiful, as you can see in a lot of his drawings, Mr Qui likes to incorporate his hand made typography. He like to say that ” Streets are the best ephemeral galleries to show his fashion’s illustration work; to diffuse glamour in city… And he have more place in the streets to work than in his apartment.” If you are in Paris, you will spot his drawings pasted all over walls…

For the latest issue of Vogue Homme International, Terry Richardson shot an editorial titled “Autoportraits” . I actually dont think he shot it, as he is modeling in the same time, or maybe he set up his camera on timer but I doubt so. Anyways, some sexy shots, with the same vibe of 90% of his portfolio. A Richardson signature for some beautiful Watches…

Wednesday Mercedes has unveiled the F-CELL Roadster, the latest in their line of “F-Series” concept vehicles and as you’ll see, it draws its inspiration from a diverse variety of automotive eras. The F-CELL Roadster is controlled with drive-by-wire technology, and a joystick takes the place of a conventional steering wheel. The vehicle is powered by a 1.2 kW Hybrid emission-free fuel cell system located at the rear. It could reach a top speed of 25 km/h and achieve an operating range of up to 350 km(217 mile).

“The F-CELL Roadster uniquely combines state-of-the-art technologies with the history of vehicle construction. As an allusion to the Benz Patent Motor Car from 1886, the vehicle is fitted with large spoked wheels. Moreover, the F-CELL Roadster incorporates stylistic elements from diverse eras of automotive history, such as the carbon-fiber bucket seats with hand-stitched leather covers and the distinctively styled fiberglass front section, based on the component from the Formula One racing bolides.” MORE inside the post

Jens Lekman : A Postcard to Nina
![jens-lekman_night-falls-over-korteleda jens lekman night falls over korteleda Song of the Day : [03/26]](http://cyanatrendland.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/jens-lekman_night-falls-over-korteleda.jpg)
Besides being incredibly engaging and peaceful, this song contains one of the most intricate, funny, tragic, and entertaining stories ever squeezed into song-form.* My favorite parts are when Jens watches Nina’s eyebrows for a clue of how to answer her father’s questions, and that he sends back “out of office auto-replies” after the father tries to befriend him. It’s also very sweet that he goes to such lengths for a girl he is in love with, even though she’s a lesbian.
Siah and Yeshua DaPoEd’s “A Day Like No Other”
falls in this category, but its twice as long. So does “Ode to
Billie Joe.”
What are some other top-notch story-songs?
