How cool are these plywood Sheetseats! designed by Ufuk Keskin. Produced from a sheet of plywood, they can be folded back into their flat form with only 3/4″ thickness. Where can I buy some ??!

Pretty much everyone already saw the Yves Saint Laurent SS09 Campaign featuring Claudia Schiffer shot by Inez and Vinoodh, but they also created a nice 28-page-manifesto which launched simultaneously in Paris, New York, Tokyo, London, Milan, Hong Kong, accompanied by a free tote and free USB key. Created to carry the YSL message to the people, this is the fourth Manifesto from Yves Saint Laurent. The objective was a further elaboration on the democratic dissimulation of fashion’s influence, spanning the capitals and beyond. ( see videos below )

Miles Fisher : This Must Be the Place to Be (Cover)
Miles Fisher is an all around catch ladies! The guy is no American Psycho but he sure can play an almost indistinguishable Patrick Bateman. I got such a kick out of this music video, for his original take on The Talking Heads classic, he starred in. The video is a homage to the cult classic American Psycho incase you didnt get the reference by now. Actor, musician, Harvard alum ~ Look out for this preppy beau, he has already appeared in Mad Men, Gossip Girl and The Cleaner. Be sure to check out the video below.

Kurt Iswarienko photographs are sumptuous ! Its hard to find a lot of info on Kurt, because when you google him, you have tones of news announcing that Kurt is dating Shannen Doherty, seriously who cares ? (maybe you?) I just know that he shot for Vogue, Flaunt, Surface, did some campaign for Converse, Lexus, Moet & Chandon, and shot a bunch of celebrities… I love, love his style, mostly from natural light… Be sure to check his portfolio for some fashion goodness www.iswarienko.com
For her graduation project at Central St. Martin’s, Japanese designer Maiko Takeda created the ‘Cinematography’ Collection. Each metal accessory is covered in hand-drilled holes of various sizes that cast photograph-like shadows onto the wearers skin. Read her interview on Dazed Digital
Martine Johanna’s Illustrations are a mix between fantasy world and fashion. Dutch born, Martine draws on all kind of mediums ~ paper, canvas, she also paint huge walls for fancy cafes or shops in Amsterdam. She seems to love playing with flying hair and blending it into forms and faces… Beautiful!
Swedish photographer John Gripenholm shoots fashion and beauty, advertising, editorial and cover art. He’s been freelancing for 6 years for clients like Lee, Gram, and Frank Dandy amongst others. I really like his style and concept behind each image he produces. He is represented by Swedish photography agency Sylvie. See more of his work: www.johngripenholm.com
No big introduction to make here, we have said it before and we will continue to say it as long as Ann Demeulemeester is run by the one and only Ann, PURE GENIUS! The mens SS 2010 collection is sizzlin’, sexy, hot! I absolutely love the contrast of fabrics and the sequins touches spread throughout the collection. Take notice of the tattered rope accessories and of course as always the brilliant footwear. Androgyny at its finest!
Erik Madigan Heck is not your average 25-year-old in the fashion and art industry’s. This guy has a portfolio and cv that is hard to compete with. Having photographed for designers such Lanvin, Rick Owens, Lacroix, Jean Paul Gaultier, Rodarte, and Helmut Lang just to highlight a few of the superstars is hardly his claim to fame. At 23 he launched a Nomenus Quarterly, an online magazine contributed to by iconic industry personalities. And most of from a spectators point of view I am personally most impressed by the distinct style of photography he has developed. It is rare that a photographer develops their style at such a young age.
Creativity, design and visual communication teacher, Spanish Jorge Chamorro has some really interesting hand made collages in his portfolio – I like a lot his style of collages and his inspiration. Visually powerful!

BIG NEWS, BIG NEWS! Hope Sandoval, aka queen Mazzy Star, will be releasing a new album entitled “Through the Devil Softly” in September 2009. After Mazzy Star ended their iconic reign of the 90’s, fans were relieved to receive Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions’ solo album ‘Bavarian Fruit Bread’ in 2001. The album was met with rave reviews, as all Hope’s work is. But aside from some collaborations with the likes of Jesus and Mary Chain, Hope has been in an 8 year hibernation. If your not familiar with the evolution of this phenomenal artist, I suggest you dig up on Mazzy Star’s catalogue, and get nice and ready for the newest edition to Hope’s genius collection. Let the countdown begin!
