My love for typography first came from learning about its history dating back to the cast metals, punches and dies – the scrupulous craft that is unthinkable with the technology of today’s printing. Though it is hard to compare the intricacy of the original craft of typography to the work shown here from Croatian creative director/typographer Vladimir Koncar, gives me the same feeling of admiration. The commitment of collecting the pieces and composing these typefaces is what fascinates me most about it. Koncar’s potent sense of humor is clearly illustrated in this series of objectified typefaces. I want to own the entire series!
