Yang Li’s Capsule Collection

yang li-ss2010-4

We were excited to receive these images from the latest developments of Yang Li for his capsule collection. Apart from his niche style, the young Central Saint Martins alumni has a resume that makes him quite a hot ticket for any high fashion house. Having worked for/with Gareth Pugh, Visvim, Blaake Homme, and currently with Raf Simmons he is getting the best first hand practical experience one could ask for. Continuing in the spirit, we have praised before at Trendland (see more about Yang Li here), of his retro-futuristic designs he brings us more of this streamlined aesthetic, dialed to tailoring perfection, which we are quickly beginning to associate with his name.

Interesting designs for the men. The retro back to the Beatles style with the tight pants is one thing but the male version of capri's is another. I don't know of any man that would opt for short pants (floods as they are known to teens everywhere). Men will wear long knee length shorts. I wish the designer luck in creating that trend.

the looks seems very ‘geek chic’
i am not a fan of trousers cut so short, and I think that in this case, colorful socks are warranted to add flavor to the outfit =)
