CéU : Grains De Beaute
Céu is a singer-songwriter from Sao Paulo, Brazil. With influences such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Lauryn Hill, Eryka Badu and an album produced by Beto Villares who composed the score for Oscar nominated Brazilian film City of God, it is no wonder where her eclectic sound comes from. I only came across her music whilst looking for rare recordings from the Buena Vista Social Club and I wish I had discovered her music earlier because it is quite refreshing. If you have been oblivious to her work as I was I suggest you do your homework and get her album. Enjoy…
