There are many obstacles to overcome when shooting upcoming seasons Couture. Couture pieces are held with much regard so they come with handlers and have very tight time frames, usually not exceeding a few hours. With these kind of restrictions its hard to cover full Couture stories, but photographer Ellen von Unwerth got the best of all fashions by having her photo booth set up backstage of the Couture Shows. I have used her images from New York Times Magazine (yesterday’s issue) to create these collages, but this is no excuse for missing the full coverage slide show available in print and partially at New York Times Magazine Online.

So, I purchased my first Lula Magazine. This is the type of magazine that seems to be made for girls like me. Everything about it is romantic. The photos, styling, fashion, and even the typeset. It was started by Leith Clark, a fashion stylist.
This issue features photographers Ellen Von Unwerth, Yelena Yemchuk, and the fashions of Erin Fetherston.
There’s a lovely article “Difficult, Deadpan, and Wonderfully Different” by April Long with Illustrations by Jonas Löfgren. It describes the girl who I always related to: types like Wednesday Addams, Lydia Deetz, Enid Coleslaw from Ghost World, and Daria Morgendorffer (I’ve been told I resemble Daria at least 3 times).
