Atelier Takagi is a multi-disciplinary design studio and workshop of Jonah Takagi – Takagi’s produce objects that require closer examination, that inspire and inform and re-contextualize our surroundings. I like his Leaf Stool and his Spun Table Lamp a lot.
If one day, it comes to me to work on the interior design of an Hotel, I will definitely have the Michel Berger Hotel in my inspiration board! I will just add a little fashion & technology touch to it…
The Michel Berger Hotel is a boutique hotel / Bar restaurant in Berlin. Designing from the creative minds of a group of friends, they worked on the idea of a fun, trendy and rebellious budget hotel, a little bit like Berlin itself ! Their vision was to create a hotel that is “as creative as an ad agency”.
A really cool idea for this “Off the Wall” Wallpaper by Kicki Edgren Nyborg. It consists of two components: a wallpaper and a 3D form that is mounted over the wallpaper. The result is a wallpaper that seems to come to life, through bulges and rolls that serve as shelving and lamps.
Norwegian photographer, Rune Guneriussen made us discover his shifted universe featuring everyday objects such as telephones, lamps, chairs mixed with some beautiful natural landscapes.
Finnish furniture designer Sebastian Jansson have some interesting pieces in his portfolio, especially those really cool ‘Habitus‘ Stools : Inspired by the coffee leafs, those geometric shape stools, looks great and seems really comfortable ( see video interview below)
—The stool is made from is laser cut 1mm steel, folded and welded. Habitus has been developed and manufactured during Jansson’s time in Milan in 2008-09. It was originally designed to feature in café and coffee shop of Kaffa Roastery based in Helsinki
