The Drums are a new band out of Brooklyn that blend a massively likable, not to mention danceable, sound of gloomy 80s pop, 90s indie-pop and 50s surf-rock. ‘Down by the Water’ is one of their more slow and romantic tracks, but I fell in love with its beautiful simplicity. This New Orleans duo is made up of Ted Joyner and Grant Widmer. “When They Fight They Fight” is your perfect summertime jam, from their debut album “Con Law”. The Oldies have been a regular choice at a lot of New York and L.A. hotspots so there is surprise that their sound seems so appropriate.

New Womenswear Label: Afira

Vampire/S&M style is the first impression I had of new UK based Womenswear label: Afira – The Collection is inspired by the strong, dark, archetypal woman, glamorous, passionate and heroic, from both past and present. Vamps, femme fatales and dominant women tell the stories. Leather, straps and some sheer are the main fabrics for their first collection, apparently they dont have any stockists yet, as they have barely launched…Stay tuned.
