Juliet Commagere may appear to be a brand new face in the music world, but like many of the surprising engenes that seem to pop up out of nowhere, Commagere has some thick roots in the industry. Until now, she has been best known as the keytar-playing front woman of the band Hello Stranger, which has opened for everyone from the Foo Fighters to Kings of Leon. She also sang back up for Inara George in the Bird and the Bee. Her friends include legendary slide guitarist Ry Cooder’s son, Joachim, (her high school sweetheart), and Robert Francis is her brother. Now regarding her music…Commagere’s debut record ‘Queens Die Proudly’ was released this month. The tracks are dreamy and beautiful with an edge of emotional darkness.

Last Campaign for the new perfume ” I am King ” by Sean Diddy Combs
“If I say, I am not going to succeed, I’m a loser, then that’s what I am going to be. If we say we’re kings and we say we’re queens, that’s what we’re going to be. It has nothing to do with being arrogant.”

Derrick Santini’s portfolio reaches fashion, music, art, and advertising. His belief that “you have to make a statement” is apparent in his work. His signature lighting is achieved predominantly without flash because he loves daylight but “you have to find the beauty in darkness too.” Derrick has worked with several rock and rap heavyweights such as Iggy Pop, Queens of the Stone Age, Muse, Lil Kim and Lily Allen.

It’s hard to manifest in my words the power and layers of documentation that Gabriel Mendes achieves in his photos. He has been exploring this concept of street art and street profiles for more than 3 years and his photos feel more and more alive as this project continues to come together. This photograph made me gasp! Brazilian model Raika, styled for this street profile in queens right near PS1 Contemporary Art Musuem is approached by these two archival characters of our time. “Where did they come from” i kept asking, I cant imagine a more perfect visual brew. So fucking rock roll its almost ridiculous. I mean the hair, the vests, the skinny as hell jailbreaker and plaid pants (pants,no, leggings!), the boom box , the arts and crafts Chanel rebel skateboard, the cigarettes and THE FUCKING ATTITUDE! Someone throw me a freakin’ bone here.
whats your bid?
