Don’t be fooled – this is no toy, but rather a fully-functional, limited edition Pentax K-x SLR camera. This new model combines solid photographic performance with a wide array of advanced features and compact, lightweight body. But the best thing about it is the new colorful body inspired by the so-called Kore Ja Nai robo toy. Only 100 robotic colors K-x’s will be released in Japan this month when they’ll be sold exclusively through Pentax’s online store at $880. If you miss out on the robotic one there are 100 other colors to pick from.

Joshua Allen Harris creates inflatable street art by creating structures made from plastic bags. He positions the bags to look like trash on top of subway grates but once the air travels upwards it inflates the bags into animated sculptures! (See video Interview below)

Are you guys ready for this?.. Gucci pops-up its Gucci-Icon Temporary Shop on Crosby St. in New York’s Soho tomorrow morning at 10 am with no intention of sticking around for long. “The boutique, its white-washed walls covered in the signature Gucci evergreen and red stripes, will pack up as soon as its wares — which include the Gucci Ronson sneaker, a collaboration with celebrity DJ Mark Ronson — are sold out.” says WWD…”the company is hoping to close the space even before its two-week run is over.” So if this event sparks any interest to you I suggest making it over this weekend, cause i’m sure it will be feeling even more bare bones after the first few days of sell through. See address below.

Here is the amazing beach photography of Massimo Vitali, but when I dig a little bit it reminds me a lot of some of the Prada prints from their Spring 2010 runway!

They’ve got style, balance and are playing Polo on some cool fixie bikes. The Polo Bike is a pretty cool new movement/sport and it doesn’t seems to be too popular yet… (see below…the cool Nike Video shot in Paris)

The game of Bike Polo, if you haven’t already figured out, is a variation of the equestrian game with a bicycle being substituted for the polo pony. Although not as glamorous as the equine variety. MORE inside the post

I love these colorful recycled toys sculptures by UK based sculptor/artist Robert Bradford, made from discarded plastic items on wood. The objects are mainly toys but there are also other colorful plastic bits and pieces, such as combs and buttons, brushes and parts of clothes pegs…

Recycling is not his primary concern, but each sculpture certainly keeps quite a few pieces from becoming landfill. Some of the sculptures contain pieces from up to 3,000 toys and sell for around $20,00 (£12,000).

Thomas Keeley’s art is provoking and highly thought driven. His interpretations of everyday objects transforms them into witty concepts that anyone with a bit of sense of humor can thoroughly enjoy.
“I tend to work in three dimensions… It’s more rewarding for me… and most of my concepts demand it. I’ve always been interested in objects. They have a unique ability to be very subjective while maintaining impartiality… they can be deeply personal for the individual while remaining unbiased… so they leave a lot of room for interpretation.” – said Keeley.

Client vs Designer

“If you can type you can make movies”. That is the slogan and concept behind Xtranormal, a web based company that allows you to create animations just by typing the story. The software allows you to drag and drop animations, choose from international voices, and choose your own characters and sets – all in a matter of minutes. Xtranormal has really brought movie-making to the people with this. A brilliant idea but I can see some controversy stirring around this bit.
I have chosen a few funny animations to check out and I am looking forward to seeing some grade A animations as soon as this software spreads a bit more. Enjoy!

What do you think Streetstyle photography is for? It is not only to see who is where and who wears what, but to analyze trends. In the past few years, but more specifically in the last year, streetstyle photography has been booming during Fashion weeks, from Paris to London, New York to Milan, now you have more photographers outsides the runways than inside…

It all started with celebrity streetstyle photographer The Sartorialist aka Scott Schuman who started to showcase his street finds on his blog in September 2005, and then… the others followed… Paparazzi of the unknown, they shoot models, editors, stylists or random people who have good or interesting style. All those pictures are called ‘Data’ in the trend world, data to analyze and read what’s coming next : details, colors, prints, cuts, accessories, ways of wearing, every single details is important. Trends agencies (like TrendLand’s friend FashionSnoop) have their own photographers traveling the world to shoot what’s cool and hot for the future seasons. And you can be sure that all those photographs are analyzed by all the designers from Marc Jacobs to H&M…I have compiled some cool shots from this Paris Fashion Week for your right here. So can you read the Trends?
