OH yes ! Jo can draw !! I am pretty amazed by the work of Jo Ratcliffe aka Jocandraw – She have such an amazing style, I’m in LOVE !
Jo studied illustration at Central St. Martins, after graduation followed a stint at Hasbro (toy manufacturers) where she began drawing Sindy for Marvel comic. Self taught with photoshop & Illustrator, she developed her very unique style: never two job look the same !
When Fashion Illustration is well executed (drawn) it is ART ! And when an old master like multi-talented/fashion designer Wolfgang Joop, draws it is Art ! Wolfgang opens his new exhibition of fashion drawings in Berlin: an overview of 4 decades of fashion illustrations.
For Wolfgang Joop, art and fashion are most impressive when the objects have the spark of an old master, whom he studied extensively, and possess “an aura of unintentionalness; or the intention to be completely self-satisfied.” The French call this l’art pour l’art.
Two years ago we introduced you to the fabulous Illustrations of Pomme Chan aka Pomme Pomme - Since then she updated her portfolio with some pretty amazing new work. See by yourself…
Sprung from one of histories most prominent catastrophe’s is a perfect marriage of science and art shown in the works of scientific illustrator Cornelia Hesse-Honegger. Since Chernobyl disaster in 1986, Hesse-Honegger has collected, studied and painted morphologically disturbed insects, which she finds in the fallout areas of Chernobyl as well as near nuclear installations. Clearly her findings that the radioactivity affected the health and development of the leaf bugs she was researching was highly controversial at the time. Many scientist and worst of all governments have disregarded her research totally, denying that low-level exposure to radioactivity has any effect on health.
Dark and sexy at the same time! We cannot say that Polish artist Aleksandra Marchoka is not talented – Its true that its a very specific style, which you either love or love to hate, but im sure some of you will enjoy it a lot…
Her style is a mix manga & comics blend together, inspired by death, angels and sex. An interesting mix…

Italian graphic designer SuperExpresso (or Michele Angelo) is a freelancer based in Barcelona. His portfolio is pretty diverse, from posters to advertising or websites, he likes to experiment with new methods of illustration beyond following the trends.
I really like his typography style, especially his ‘W’ and ‘R’.
