The first and only still shot released from the filming of the Coco Chanel movie : Coco Avant Chanelstarring Audrey Tautou was released last week. It shows a rather stern looking Tautou – much like the original Coco herself. The film is being shot in Paris and Normandy, and will feature iconic Chanel dresses. Catherine Leterrier is designing the costumes with Karl Lagerfeld’s oversight.
Bad news, dear Audrey fans: it looks like we won’t be seeing Audrey as Coco Chanel before spring 2009!We will keep you updated…

Gemma Ward might have been conspicuous by her absence from the runways for the past two seasons, but she has certainly been making her mark on screen. Nominations for the 2008 Inside Film (IF) Awards in Australia were announced Wednesday and Ward is up for Best Actress for her debut feature role in Elissa Down’s “The Black Balloon”. It’s one of 10 nominations picked up by the coming-of-age romantic comedy. Read full article at WWD.MORE inside the post
Our clever pirate is donning yet another curious hat for BFF director, Tim Burton. Yummy Depp has nabbed the [obvious] role of the Mad Hatter in the real-life adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, 3-D!!!! The film is already underway and is set for release in 2010…
For the invite of their 30th Birthday, Diesel animates a porn film borrowing the motif from SFW Porn and animating it top perfection. This is absolutely brilliant. Who wouldn’t got to diesel’s worldwide XXX party.
Released in 2007, Loic Prigent filmed a documentary that looked into the life of designer Marc Jacobs and his career as creative director at Louis Vuitton. This DVD contains footage from a party in NYC, a press conference in Tokyo and random rants of personal inspiration. It also provides an insight in to the working process of designing goods for Louis Vuitton. It’s interesting to see how similar (and different) the working process that of a fashion designer. Below are three clips from the DVD to get your beak wet as well as a quote from Vogue.

“Bringing the same intimate insight into the fashion world as his previous acclaimed documentary series SIGNE CHANEL, filmmaker Loïc Prigent focus on Marc Jacobs, called the most influential designer of his generation. This witty portrait follows Jacobs as he balances roles as artistic director of venerable French house Louis Vuitton and his own eponymous American line, in meetings, preparing collections and at high-profile shows. With Naomi Campbell, Sophia Coppola and Uma Thurman. “Artfully told with humor and panache” — Vogue.

I just saw possibly one of the sexiest films ever made. There is something about movies that are based around the kitchen like “Chocolate” and the one I speak of now ” Woman on Top”, that are so sensual and irresistible.
Love, sex, and food combine in this sensuous romantic comedy. Isabella (Penelope Cruz) is a master chef who suffers from severe motion sickness, requiring her to be in control of her movements at all times. This need extends to the bedroom, but her husband Tonino (Murilo Benicio), who owns the restaurant where she works, doesn’t like to make love in the fashion suggested by the title. This is hardly the only thing about their relationship that she finds stifling, and when Isabella discovers Tonino in bed with another woman, she leaves for America, where with the help of cross-dressing friend “Monica” (Harold Perrineau Jr.), she becomes a star as the host of a TV cooking show, Passion Foods Live. Woman on Top was the first American film from Venezuelan director Fina Torres.
This film encompasses all of Brazil’s cliche’s in a way that leaves you with a permasmile throughout the entire film. Penelope Cruz is absolutely stunning and the passion between Isabella, her character, and Tonhino is so strong that it send your Pheromones flying in all directions.
After the other nights 20 minute discussion with my gals about Carrie Bradshaw’s favorite shoes in the movie I felt it necessary to put all assumptions aside. So I’m here to confirm that yes those were Dior, Extreme Gladiator Platform shoes, that she wore in all our favorite scenes of her. MORE inside the post
