The Selby is Photographer Todd Selby’s blog where he photographs his friends and subjects in their homes. His exploration of this concept is very alluring from a spectators point of view. The home is the most private and intimate space most people can resort to. To be able to enter the homes of known and unknown characters and analyze their lifestyle’s through the eyes of a photographer is truly fascinating.

GEORGIA MAY JAGGER is the latest member of the Jagger dynasty to follow supermodel mum Jerry Hall’s footsteps into modeling - but don’t expect her to be copying Hall’s signature leggy look.

“I told her one night that her skirt was too short,” the 16-year-old daughter of Hall and Rolling Stone Mick Jagger has admitted. “She came down the stairs and I was like, ‘God, Mum, you are 50.’”

Making her debut in a photo shoot for the Mail On Sunday’s You magazine yesterday, Jagger also revealed that she has another model mentor in her big sister and “best friend” Lizzie, who is famously one of the faces of Mark & Spencer’s clothing campaigns - and that she won’t be changing her gap-toothed smile for the world.

“I wouldn’t even have braces on my teeth. This idea that everyone should conform and be perfect is ridiculous,” she said. “I like the fact that I have good old-fashioned British teeth with a big gap. Who wants those gleaming white cosmetically enhanced American teeth?”

Chromeo has done it again! Another song that’s on repeat on my itunes and an even better video. Directed and illustrated by acclaimed French artist Stephane Manel, “Momma’s Boy” presents Chromeo’s Oedipal-themed love ballad in sleek and surreal black and white animation. Dave & Pee do their best “Piano Man” references, take their girl to the movies, and finish with a dual psychedelic guitar solo that makes this beautiful video a must-see. Stephane Manel is also known for his design work for Serge Gainsbourg and Sebastien Tellier, among others. And lets not forget to give a special sohout out to my girl ZinaStar for getting the role of the girl that Dave takes to the movies.

In this exhibition, nature overcomes inanimate objects, resurrecting life and philosophical thought into everyday items.

Pablo Reinoso’s multicultural background means he is interested in discovering links between different cultures. His Argentine heritage of craftsmanship is intrinsic in his work. Reinoso’s design work has the unusual ability of serving everyday human necessity as well as igniting emotion. Exhibition Highlights:

The Spaghetti Bench takes it’s inspiration from the universal park bench “everyone has sat on a bench like this, some have been kissed on one, others have waited for their kid on one, they are common to everybody”.

Reinoso plugs into the consciousness, by twisting the familiar and conjuring up a playful, fantastical alter reality, empowering the wooden slats to resurrect back into swirling, growing live tendrils.

The Spaghetti Bench has an inescapable surrealist influence, with a poetic, elegant repose.

The benches are not only conceptual works but also feats of handcrafted dexterity. Each wooden slat is hand-carved to create the sinuous curve, the human intervention of the manufacture once again triumphs over the straight lines of the traditional park bench.

Film has become fashionable now that digital cameras have freed up cheap film cameras to be used for fun and experimenting with different films, techniques, and developing methods.

Coming soon from the film lovers at Japan’s Superheadz, the Blackbird-Fly is a twin-lens reflex camera that fits right into the retro film trend and has great design that would fit right in at a trendy lifestyle store in Tokyo.

Priced at less than $100, these limited edition Rolleiflex lookalikes shoot square images on 35mm rather than 120 (medium format) film, making development costs (and cheap scanning at home) less of an issue.

“If I say, I am not going to succeed, I’m a loser, then that’s what I am going to be. If we say we’re kings and we say we’re queens, that’s what we’re going to be. It has nothing to do with being arrogant.”
