They’ve got style, balance and are playing Polo on some cool fixie bikes. The Polo Bike is a pretty cool new movement/sport and it doesn’t seems to be too popular yet… (see below…the cool Nike Video shot in Paris)

The game of Bike Polo, if you haven’t already figured out, is a variation of the equestrian game with a bicycle being substituted for the polo pony. Although not as glamorous as the equine variety. Read the full story

Take your bike anywhere, with this Concept Eco // 07 by Mexican designer Victor M. Aleman – The Compactable Urban Bicycle is designed to save space when it is being transported or it is not in use. The Wheel is composed by six modules, each one has a double pivot in the joints…

this allows the wheel to fold and become smaller, the spokes are contained in the inner structure of the wheel, when you unfold the system, the spokes rotate to the center of the mechanism where it attach to the center of the wheel. The double triangle structure is composed by expandable modules, each one collapses to a smaller dimension and then this modules align by the rotation of the axis in the joint of the structure, to keep in position all the structure is used an special part in a form of an X that aligns all the modules to their position.

Mercedes-Benz is well known for their luxurious cars, but not for bicycles. Well not anymore. Apparently the Germans would like to tackle a whole new niche with their latest collection of folding pushbikes. There are two folding options – fully folded which is a very small package, while the “shuttle” position allows the bike to be pushed and steered making it ideal for easy carriage using public transport. This folding option allows you to take your bike wherever you go -

While mostly intended for the style-conscious with a large bank account, the exquisite bike features an aluminum frame, has a suspension travel of 40 mm at both front and rear, a Shimano 8-speed gear and disc brakes that are supposed to keep you safe. Its a cool bike but a little expensive for my taste, for EUR1700, I’d rather buy a scooter ! See also the Strida and other Folding bike here – More info on www.mercedes-benz-bike.com

-Hi, I’m bnko from the Design llama , I’m a guest of Cyana Trendland, I will post some news here and there directly imported from my blog , I hope you’ll enjoy them.
This special looking bike as been designed by Fabio Bortolani and Ermanno Righi from Dovetusai,
Not really in love with the design but more interested in the minimalist frame ( if it can hold a human weight),I love the idea that the top tube can actually contain the front and rear light. I know that fixies or “fixed gear bikes ” are trendy but i would have love to see some smart cable managements for the brakes in here, cause i can’t see them. anyway i think this is a rendering, but there is definitely something in it..

If you know me personally you know that I’m not a huge fan of Fixed Gear ( or Fixie ) bikes, I’m more into the old-school 26″ Bmx cruiser style ( here & here ) but I have to admit that some of them have got some dope ass Design! I guess its just a way of riding…I’m more into dirty street riding than ” oh be careful of the pavement “.
