The site , which is in beta, is set to launch as both an online shop as well as a forum for like minded fashion forward shoppers to communicate on current trends, likes and dislikes, etc.. Marni asked children from Columbia, Tibet, India, Guatamala and Brazil to capture what they say in the mirror. Of the 7,000 drawings they received, the fashion house chose 6 self-portraits to be printed on mens’ and womens’ shirts, available now at Marni’s Virtual Boutique. The proceeds of the T-shirt sales will be distributed between the schools who participated in the initiative. At $120 a shirt, it’s the most affordable item you’re gonna find at Marni!
More then 2 years post the Launch of Bernhard Willhelm’s first store in Shibuya, Tokyo, I’m still amazed of how Item Idem, (an amazing collective of hyper-crea; designers, artists, architect…which Bernhard is a part of) and the Japanese in general so are advanced in trends. The store is a reproduction of a Tokion bum’s lifestyle. As you can see below they are pushing the theme to the max !!
