These beautiful pencil and gauche fashion illustrations were created exclusively for Clear Magazine by Japanese art director and fashion illustrator Masaki Mizuno. In this series the artist interprets looks from some of our favorite top fashion houses including Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Maison Martin Margiela, Miu Miu, Nina Ricci, Givenchy, Prada, Christian Dior, Balenciaga, and Alexander McQueen. As the American Summer wanes, Fall looks have undoubtedly begun to circulate the minds and mouths of the fashion world. Women having the majority of say in purchasing decisions is an undeniable fact, reflected clearly through the following shoot. Supermodels taking hold of this corporate city, embracing well-tailored fitted pieces matched with looser yet structured forms. A black ensemble is set adjacent to a full blown leopard print guise [which one would assume to clash but in fact manages to blend ever so tastefully]. A plain oversized neutral coat is accented with just a tinge of metallic peeking out from beneath and those unexpected silk bunny ears Marc Jacobs got everyone talking about. And, of course, jeweled neck pieces almost overwhelming in size couldn’t hurt either. The V&A Museum in London new featured exhibit is The Golden Age of Couture: Paris and London 1947-1957. It began in September and runs until January 6, 2008. It showcases pieces from Christian Dior including the original New Look which launched women’s fahion after World War II, and originals from Balenciaga, Givenchy, Hardy Amies, and Pierre Balmain.
