Australian wardrobe stylist and former Australian Vogue market editor, Tiana Wallace’s portfolio covers a full range of meticulously executed style. Her work as a a stylist has contributed to magazines including Oyster, Harper’s, Pages, and Grazia. She has traveled to many countries in developing her portfolio and this is major factor in the quality of her work. Roberta Rusconi began her styling career as a fashion stylist for the magazine D La Repubblica delle Donne and has been working for the magazine since it’s’ beginning in the late 1990’s. Roberta also collaborates with the following magazines Mirage, Plastic and Grey and is also a fashion editor for Metal Magazine. She has a great eye and sense of balance when putting together looks. Though her influences and aesthetic is definitely forward high fashion a lot of her looks feel accessibly wearable. Here I have featured bit and pieces from her portfolio to showcase some of my favorite looks. We have referenced the work of Kattaca many times,  especially in relation to photographer Paco Peregrin seen best in the Spain’s Fashion Production Dream Team article – Kattaca works pretty much exclusively with Paco Peregrin and when they work together, you can recognize it from far. The trio definitely have their own style! They like to play with structural fabrics and shapes and an amazing makeup and hair team which helps a lot on the creativity of the outfits. Mario Ville and Carol Gamarra are the genius stylists formerly known as Kattaca.  You can see their work in magazines like Neo2 or maybe Tendencias but it is easily the caliber ( if not above and beyond) of  ID, Surface or Dazed & Confused – Be sure to check out her work at www.kattaca.com it is pretty mind blowing!

Considerate as well as a Fashion Icon, Catherine loves to make bold statements and has developed an unmistakable style which has its own place in the contemporary fashion world. She dresses with a sort of 20s and 30s Hollywood glamour and feminine allure, displaying a love of rich fabrics and fantasy clothes that frequently have a surreal twist. We write a lot about photographers, but we should not forget that the Stylist is also a really important role in a photoshoot ! When we speak about Stylists we HAVE to review Nicola Formichetti ! His style and work are just so unique ! Nicola was born in Japan in 1977 to an Italian father and a Japanese mother and grew up between these two countries; currently living between London, New York and Tokyo. His unique style is a result of a big mix of internationally eclectic/ modern and traditional / Eastern and European influences. Side by Side he has recently been appointed the position of Fashion Director of  new Condé Nast magazine: Vogue Hommes Japan, working as the main fashion consultant for Japanese high-street brand Uniqlo and as an editor on several of the biggest fashion magazines ( Dazed, Another Man, V, V Man, Arena Homme and Vogue Hommes Japan). Formichetti is also closely involved with the entire process as consultant for a number of leading fashion brands (McQueen, Prada, D&G, Gareth Pugh…), working on their image, business strategy, marketing processes or simply styling the campaigns.  Damn what a Resume !! Nicola is definitely THE Stylist to hire on the market. He shoots with the biggest photographers ( Terry Richardson, Mario Testino, Hedi Slimane…) and dresses the most desirable Models and Celebrities… Just have a look to his portfolio, you wont believe it ! Model & Style Icon, Stylist, Editor,  – Giovanna Battaglia is no novice to the fashion industry. At a burgeoning age of 28 she has quite a reputable portfolio and global image. Her experience as an exclusive model to D&G and styling for L’Uomo Vogue, Numero and Officiel has lead to be a leader in mens fashion as the Editor of L’Uomo Vogue.

And not to be missed is her personal style which is definitely a favorite of the Sartorialist sited here. These are 3 montages i created using images styled by Battaglia with superimposed images of her via street sightings from Sartorialist.

I was scrolling through A Shaded View, Diane Pernet’s blog, when I saw some images that almost made me cream all over myself. It was the images of the SS09 Mathew Ames Collection shot by Sybille Walter and styled by Samuel Drira, which brought me to Ames’s website to research more work by the dynamic photographer and stylist duo which have been working with Ames.
