Thursday was the opening night for
Kazuo’s new build-out at
Hollywood Trading CO. in Fred Segal, Santa Monica. The fall 08 Collection looks great as usual, with hand finished details and flawless construction. The buld-out is very representational of teh kind of work that Joel K. and his team put into the brand. Look closely at the walls. The red walls are all hand stripped pieces of red tape.

The best way to start a weekend is at a open bar. For those of you around the area (and by “area”, I mean Santa Monica), John Varvatos and Fred Segal are hosting a open bar to kick-off the new
shop. While you’re there, check out the shop-within-a-shop celebrating JV’s CBGB store and all of the noted designer’s clothing. The reception starts at 6 p.m. Enjoy!
