German Artist Pierre Kracht’s Wrapped series was shown at the Transversale 2009 show in Germany last month as a part of the “Surface” exhibition. Transversale is a show that unveils the boundaries where art meets design and design meets art. In Kracht’s work he poses a question of the relevance of material through time. By wrapping these objects into cocooned silhouettes he is attempting to make them disappear, it is his metaphor for the tangible world which fills our lives.
