Stella Im Hultberg is raw femininity, sexuality, vulnerability, and reality. Nothing is masked in the faces of her girls; all misery, all troubles are fully evinced. Hultberg’s paintings and drawings cause the viewer to feel for her girls. They are the type of girls that everyone subconsciously desires [male and female alike]. They’ve faces like sombre supermodels but the way their sleepy eyes stare, the way their hands grasp for more, the way their hair falls and rises so freely are what make them so innocently seductive. The girls of Stella Im Hultberg may look as though they are trying to hide away, but they’re not at all. They show you everything everyone should know and appreciate about a woman.

Creative stylists, Ben Gregory and Dean Beavis, work together, under the name Gregory Dean, to merge hair with art. Their wealth of talent, original ideas and eye for details has enabled them to create some truly amazing styles for editorial, catwalk and film. Here I have selected a group of their most eccentric works of art. Perhaps these hair dresses were an inspiration to Margiela’s hair coats from 2 seasons ago.
French Born hair director and owner of trendy pop up salon in East London, Charlie Le Mindu is a Hair Master. Surfing on the same trend as Martin Margiela with his Hair Dress, Le Mindu has a hairy imagination. He works from his studio salon based in Shoreditch, East London, and is also acting as Hair Director at Super Super Magazine. He has recently designed a new jewelery range alongside up-and-coming womens wear designer Gemma Slack. By incorporating hair and leather they have created a unique photoshoot. It looks like the ‘Hair Trend’ is going strong in Europe and we will definitely keep an eye on Charlie’s work…
We saw recently that Martin Margiela had an obsession for hairs like the ‘Wig Coat’ for Sonia Rykiel 40 years Anniversary and this really cool ” Make up your Mind “Project video Concept and Cinematography: Nick Knight and Ruth Hogben —–> Watch Exclusive Video on CyanaTV

The Beauty Industry is one of the closest friends of the Fashion Industry, we can use beauty to tell a whole fashion story without even showing one garment. The use of of colors, matte’s or shines, lighting, silhouettes, and the dose of these factors can define a trend or time in fashion. Here is a pull from V Magazine’s beauty portfolio. Nagi Noda is a Japanese pop artist who is best known for her short films, the half-panda-half-something-else “Hanpanda” life-sized figures, the video for Japanese singer Yuki’s song “Sentimental Journey”, and the collaboration with Medicom Toy to produce a Nagi Noda Be@rbrick. In addition, she directed a commercial for Coca Cola (which Jack White from The White Stripes did the music for). Oh yeah, she also had some fun with a horror themed cafe project for about 4 days.
Now she has teamed up with colleagues Asami Nemoto and Shinji Konishi to create these 15 unique headpieces inspired by beasts such as rabbits, poodles, owls and elephants for an exhibition that wraps up in Tokyo next week. The hair hats will be making appearances on Bjork’s upcoming UK tour, and available at Colette in Paris after that… See her Portfolio Here
