In collaboration with the H&M design team, UXUS was invited to create the launch for the H&M Home Collection at their headquarters in Stockholm. The approach was to create a “gallery” of fun fashion home products which customers are encouraged to touch and explore.

H&M Home is a gallery/showroom using highly emotional product presentations, which verge on art, to encourage customers to engage with the brand.

Just when you thought H&M had pulled every big name for their limited edition designer collections from their top hat, it’s time to think again. After the Matthew Williamson collaboration, the brand announces its latest partner in design: Jimmy Choo.
“We are privileged to be among the fashion greats who have been affiliated with H&M so far, and to be designing a collection appealing to fashion savvy, street smart women, and to be including some great pieces for men, too,” founder and president of Jimmy Choo, Tamara Mellon said today. “Jimmy Choo will bring to H&M a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection – the perfect party pieces to buy now and then wear out that night!”
The collection has been designed with the clothing in mind first. Shoes and handbags were created to compliment the apparel.

Ever since there was a confirmed statement on Topshop opening in NY, there has been a lot of buzz around Topshop in the states. Now that it has opened you see the buzz in effect every time you get near the store. Its 4-floors of madness can hardly compare to any retailers success at the moment. Jammed with teeny bopper shoppers to savvy fashion editors you get a peep of the fashion rainbow in full range. But what about our loyal H&M, who has been bringing us fast fashion all this time there was no Topshop at hand. H&M as always has responded well by creating a very tightly concepted collection that all the fashion bloggers have been dying over. The grungy, 90’s-biker-chic vibe compressed into an item based collection that will have girls splurging away is a brilliant move on their part. I love to see hyper concentrated stylist bound collections translated into fast fashion.

H&M has revealed that the next designer to create a capsule collection will be Matthew Williamson!
“It is an incredible opportunity to be working with H&M, creating a ‘Matthew Williamson for H&M’ capsule collection. I love the fact that H&M has created a new phenomenon in fashion through the pioneering concept of collaborating with high-end designers to create one-off limited edition capsule collections. I am thrilled that my creations for H&M will be accessible to and hopefully enjoyed by so many people around the world,” says Williamson.

“Matthew has such a good eye and a way for working with prints that he mixes up in a new way. When he combines these things, you get a very contemporary London look. It’s for people who want to look special, but his clothes can also be worn in a nonchalant way – you can really play around with them. He is fantastic with piling on colour – it’s a very stylish collaboration for H&M, and very much in line with the way we’re thinking about fashion for spring/summer,” says Margareta van den Bosch, Creative advisor at H&M.
The collection, which can’t be anything but fabulous, is set to hit selected H&M stores from April 23, 2009.

So today was the launch of the Roberto Cavalli Collection for H&M. His 20 Mens looks and 25 womens looks were available at 200 selected H&M stores worldwide. But as predicted it only took one hour for everything to disappear from the floor. People were stripping the mannequins to get their hands on whatever animal print they could get. It was a huge success! We love to see how icons such as Madonna, Lagerfeld, Voctor and Rolf, and now Cavalli are translating their genius into the commercial genius of none other than H&M. Thank god for the fashion FANATICS!
