I couldn’t resist bringing up this photo from the Spellbound editorial out of V mag’s November 07 issue. The Styling is absolutely phenomenal in this shot and I dont think I have ever seen a more fabulous coat. Few words can measure the greatness of this shot so I’ll leave it to the viewers to indulge.
Coat by Giorgio Armani, boots by Marjan Pejoski

Above is the new Georgio Armani cell phone ad. Agyness Deyn is the model in the picture, but doesn’t she look alot like Christy Turlington? She looks great, but she also looks ten years older. Amazing what makeup can do, since Agyness Deyn looks nothing like herself in the ads.
Ad season is coming up, and I’m excited to see some beautiful fashion campaigns. Quick update, M.I.A. is the face for Marc for Marc Jacobs and Olga Sherer is the model for the Lanvin ads.
LA Menswear label Endovanera ( Yes, it sounds like end-of-an-era) is an up-and-coming line that you’ve got to take notice of now. David Michael Hershberger and Mitch Moseley make up the design duo that utilizes precise tailoring techniques defining their old-school American vibe. Their F/W collection is in large inspired by vintage military garments. Double breasted shirts, and tapered pants, subtle details in the form of hand-sewn buttons, curduroy pockets, contrasting liners, ribbon trim; all cloaked in dark cottons and wools sums up the Fall 08 aesthetic for Endovanera.

Eerie, disturbing, beautiful..just a few adjectives that come to mind when poring over these High Fashion Crime Scenes by Melanie Pullen. Her images are ” vintage crime-scene images,” found from the files of the LAPD and the County Coroner’s Office. She has worked with Prada, Louis Vuitton, Chloe, Gucci and Chanel.
Pre-Fall runway collections are becoming more and more the norm. Chanel showcased their Pre-Fall 2008 Collection this past Friday. The show was inspired by “English chic,” and the looks were something modern-day Victorian punk, mixed with Beatnik style hair and makeup.
Zac Posen also had his Pre-Fall 2008 collection as well, with a “poodle ballet” theme. His styles focused on comfort and ease. More known for his evening wear, his dresses are feminine and sweet
I really like the new Dita collab’ with infamous vintage brand Cazal,
The project features a very limited re-release of the Cazal 902 in exclusive Dita Eyewear color-ways
The 902 was originally released in 1982.

For Fall 2007, Jen Kao focuses sophisticated high-end wear packed with street credibility. Detail and functionality are the core for this designer. Her individual pieces are adjustable, in that the wearer can change shape with their mood.
Advertisers are continuing to evolve their methods to attract our attention. This short film directed by Guy Ritchie for BMW stars Clive Owen, a M-series tiger of a sports car, and a musical superstar near and dear to most of our hearts. It is both inspiring and frightening to see the new level reached by advertisers in attracting consumer attentions. After this short I definitely wanted to test drive a BMW.
What I hate most about driving is that since I’m so focused on the road, alot of the time I’ll miss out on all the cool graffiti on the streets of LA. Melrose Avenue has served as a canvas for many street artists like Banksy and Shepard Fairey. Thanks to LAist for the photos, I hadn’t seen some of them yet!
Young trend setter artist from Los Angeles Christofer Chin aka Tofer is more than just an artist, He’s not only doing beautiful acrylic paintings on canvas but also designing is own line Plain Gravy and working as freelance with big publications such as Flaunt, Oyster and many more.
