The hype is undeniable, Barbie’s going to be celebrating her 50th year in true fashionista style, by having her own fashion show at New York Fashion Week on Saturday: Mattel is sponsoring Fashion Week this year for the anniversary with a show that includes 50 Barbie outfits by top designers, including Diane Von Furstenberg and Tommy Hilfiger as well as many other outstanding designers’ pieces…. In 1963 Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘the birds’ was released, which saw the revenge of birds on humankind. to celebrate the film’s 45th anniversary, Mattel, Inc. has released ‘the birds’ themed Barbie® doll, which is based off the ‘the birds’ ill-fated heroine, Tippi Hedren, who fashioned a green skirt-suit during one of the movie’s iconic scene.
