Georges Antonis‘ work dips into a world where glamour and intrigue meld and the result is bold, beautiful and cinematic. Antoni is an Australian fashion photographer (Queensland bred) whose star is rising rapidly in the global market. His first forays into the Sydney, London and New York fashion industries have been greeted with resounding success. His natural talent, formidable skills in lighting and composition and easy going nature, have resulted in mass interest from leading international brands and magazines, such as Australian Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Oyster, Cream and WestEast.
Romanian model Catrinel Menghia now resides in Milan and this black and white photo shoot for Aubade Agenda would even convince Federico Fellini that she is full blooded Sicilian beauty. With the help of Menghia’s beauty, this unnamed photographer has captured the essence and style of Italy in the 1960s.
Photographer Neil Krug has been hanging in the desert with his supermodel girlfriend Joni Harbeck making PULP, a book of washed out, grainy, 70’s stylized photos that honor the tradition of old movie posters and magazines. The polaroids have the kind of grainy, sun-scorched feel of a Sergio Leone spaghetti western. And ever since the couple began posting the photos on Flickr early this year, they’ve drawn a blaze of attention. “I really never received this much feedback on my work before,” said Mr. Krug, who has also directed music videos for Ladytron and Ratatat. Watch a little teaser trailer to get you in the mood for the book. In his spare time he’s also been working on a movie called Invisible Pyramid that looks equally as trippy. It’s supposedly about two women “escaping the loss of a loved one in search for an answer to their ambivalence.”
A cool song and an interesting music video for the latest song of Benjamin Taylor: Wicked Way. He explains that because he was feeling uncomfortable in front of the camera, singing ‘wicked way’ / ‘freaky sexuality’, his friend came up with the idea of it sung by 15 different models from Trump Model Management, who are each morphing into each other – Directed by Patrik Andersson.
This 21 year old rising star Canadian model Kastyn Reid is featured in this sexy editorial for Vanity Fair Italy. This Calgary native stands tall at 5? 9? and her 34, 24, 34 figure with dirty blonde hair and tantalizing green eyes makes her a strong candidate to be every man’s dream girl. Although not much is known about the leggy Canadian, we just sure hope to see her in more editorials such as this one.
This young girl recently started modeling for the Danish model agency Scoop-models. After seeing her photo-shoots and her attitude on the catwalk at Copenhagen Fashion Week AW09 I have a gut-feeling that she is going to get far in the modeling world. Take a look at her photos and judge for yourself. More photos here.
Paul Rowland’s seasonal show packages for Supreme Management have taken on a certain mythic quality in the world of fashion. So it’s fitting that for the Fall 2009 shows next month, Rowland photographed his cast of Supreme beings in a set of elaborate tableau’s inspired by Middle Eastern icon painting. The glossy, folded showcards arrived to bookers and editors this week, wrapped up in gilt string and packed inside a foil-stamped purple box that calls to mind Arabian treasures of eons past. We say thank God someone’s still dreaming big in the age of cutbacks and layoffs. If the ancient Sassanids had a modeling empire, they might have presented their stable of beauties a little bit like this.
After our last feature on Hedi Slimane’s campaign using Kate Moss, I asked myself, what is up my favorite Moss. Latest news on Kate is that she has yet another engagement planned to yet another rocker. Kate Moss and Jamie Hince of the Kills are said to marry in September of this year. Hince seems to have a lot in common with her previous rocker beau Pete Doherty but I hope its not as bad as the infamously destructive relationship Kate and Pete shared. See more photos here.
Fashion web Magazine ( a Print version is also available but rare to find ) The Blow Up has a lot to watch on their website…

Have a look and spend a lil’ through the beautiful fashion spreads and models they feature…Enjoy
Above is the new Georgio Armani cell phone ad. Agyness Deyn is the model in the picture, but doesn’t she look alot like Christy Turlington? She looks great, but she also looks ten years older. Amazing what makeup can do, since Agyness Deyn looks nothing like herself in the ads.
Ad season is coming up, and I’m excited to see some beautiful fashion campaigns. Quick update, M.I.A. is the face for Marc for Marc Jacobs and Olga Sherer is the model for the Lanvin ads.
Supermodel Alex Wek published her autobiography last week. There is some interesting stuff in there, considering this book isn’t your typical “I’m beautiful, now i’m rich” model autobiography. Wek recounts a painful childhood rooted during a civil war in Sudan, searching the desert with her family for safety, water, and rest. Though some had reservations in her earlier modeling days, she has gone on to becoming one of the most successful models in the industry. She has triumphed over so much more adversity than most of us can imagine that Alex Wek will continue to be an intriguing subject.
Patrick Wolfe is an artist to keep your eye on. His current album ” Magic Position,” is clad with infectious dance hits and melancholy ballads. His stage attire always consists of bright colors, bold wigs, hot shorts, and glitter.
I’m sure you’ve noticed him in these Burberry ads, with our fave model of the moment, Agyness Deyn
Seems like countless magazines are telling me that fashion hats are back. This news, along with Halloween coming up, made me remember that it’s been about 6 months since Isabella Blow, who rocked the coolest and most avant-garde hats, passed away. Along with being an international style icon, director, and muse, she discovered model Sophie Dahl and designer Alexander McQueen.Though she is no longer with us , her mark on fashion continues.
