Yesterday we spoke about Brett Westfalls and CDG, Id like to take that thought and build a bridge to another designer we really respect and admire. Joel K. designer of KaZuO, an L.A. based, Japanese produced and inspired brand, has also collaborated with Brett for the Fall 08 collection on a layered Flannel look. Read the full story

Designer of Unholy Matrimony, Brett Westfalls was invited by Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garcons to Japan and given his own studio to create 16 full looks for the SS09 Collection which hit the Paris Runway the last week of June. Although the aesthetic of the pieces shown on the runway carried a CDG aura, his work was very distinguishable from the rest of the collection. We could definitely sense his rock n roll/grunge circa 90’s influence that is undeniably present in Brett’s personage.
