How cool is this editorial of Kate Moss Shot by Craig McDean for Vogue UK of March 08
The video will show under this
I really like this Black/White editorial and video made for Vogue UK shot by Nick Knight (co-directed by Ruth Hogben.)- The fashion story features the beautiful model Anja Rubik in a delicious series of black and white robes and outfits, using some of the best brands and designer names in the industry such as Martin Margiela, Dries Van Noten, Dior, Vivienne Westwood and Viktor & Rolf.
“I believe that there is a growing attention to craftsmanship in fashion these days, as opposed to quick-fix disposable pieces. I am focusing on timeless classics.”
Canadian designer, Mark Fast acquired his BA and MA last year, from where else but Central Saint Martins. He was righteously awarded the London Fashion Week New Gen Award for Autumn/winter 2009 for expertise in knitwear. Mark knits everything by hand on a domestic knitting machine. His work is formed onto the body as he knits, and he has devised innovative stitching techniques, blending lycra with viscose, angora or wool. He is inspired by the endless possibilities of lycra yarns, sculpting areas of tension and areas of volume over the body. Mark also finds fresh inspiration in the past, translating historical costume and style into a contemporary aesthetic. Although I can say that these pieces are quite timeless in the fact that a women who would wear them would not consider the season or trend, they are also perfectly timed for Spring of 09 as the trend of torn and cut-out tights is continuously growing. This is without a doubt the cream of all that crop!
‘Where The Wild Things Are’ is a really cool Fashion Editorial from Dec08 Vogue Uk – photographed by Patrick Demarchelier, starring Anja Rubik and styled by Lucinda Chambers –

This month of December at Vogue Uk – with Kate Moss on the cover and a special feature on Karl Lagerfeld’s “secret ball.” - An amazing Editorial by Nick Night see below

Roald Dahl created some of the best-loved children’s stories of the 20th century, such as “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, “Matilda” and “James and the Giant Peach”. Having that in mind, Vogue UK enlisted Tim Burton (who of course directed one adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and produced another for James and the Giant Peach), actors Helena Bonham Carter, Imelda Staunton and Jamie Bell, and musician Lightspeed Champion amongst others, to help bring to life, Dahl’s powerful vision through fashion.
Shot by Tim Walker, the editorial takes its name from Dahl’ successful short story collection.
The Repetto Foundation’s Dance For Life (Danse Pour la Vie) partnership with UNESCO has tapped Moschino to design a pair of their Zizi shoes that resembles wood in soft leather. On the shoe is a cotton peach blossom with a canvas silk leaf adorned on the sides which according to Vogue UK dates “back to the Fifties and salvaged from an old florist in Milan, the quirky design is one of several Repetto products customised by designers to celebrate the French shoe company’s birthday, and raise money to support educational projects that involve dance. Actresses Catherine Deneuve and Charlotte Gainsbourg as well as designer Jean Paul Gaultier are among those also taking part. The items they customize will be exhibited in major cities across the world before being auctioned in October.” – via Nitrolicious
